About the hotel

Casa Cecilia is a beautiful beach front hotel located in Playa Santa Teresa. Santa Teresa, one of the only beaches in Costa Rica with pure white sand, is located at the southern tip of the Nicoya Penisula on the Pacific coast. Casa Cecilia is a five-bedroom structure that can be rented by the room or for larger groups as a house. When renting the entire hotel, guests have full access to the kitchen and all amenities, plus daily maid service. Four of the rooms are downstairs and the second floor is a suite. Two of the rooms downstairs have a double bed and two have twin beds. The suite has a king bed in the master bedroom and a double futon in the lounge area. All of the rooms have private bathrooms, air conditioning, and refrigerators. Complimentary breakfast is served daily. We are the only beach front hotel in the area. Relax under the beach canopy in one of our hammocks or lounge chairs. Some of the best surfing in Santa Teresa is right in front of the hotel. The unique white sand beaches found along the coast of southern Nicoya are due to the geology of the penisula. The geology is directly related to the lack of active volcanos on the penisula. The majority of the sand found on Costa Rica beaches is generated by resent volcanic activity and is a fine gray sand. So come stay at the best spot on the best beach in Costa Rica. Activities include: surfing, snorkeling, fishing, horseback rides, two canopy tours. We rent surfboards. Rates vary by season.
